Reexaminations

A re-examination means that DMV does not have enough information and they are looking for more evidence that might support the taking of a license. In other words it is a fact finding mission. Part of their arsenal to aid in getting evidence consists of:

Vision test

Road sign test

Written test

Giving a special 30 minute drive test

Focuses on ability to follow complex directions

Lane changes are of critical importance

Backing ability is emphasized

Testimonial portion:

Emphasis on facts supporting reason for referral

Will ask about incident - this is your opportunity to point out any errors in the official reports to DMV

They may ask you about medical conditions and then ask for a medical evaluation from your doctor
