Maryland native, Vernon Brownlee is an elite member of our criminal defense department. He has served as an Assistant State’s Attorney (ASA) for Prince George’s County, Maryland, managed large volume dockets, misdemeanor criminal cases, and select high-profile felony cases.

While in law school, Vernon served as the Director of Academic Affairs of the Black Law Students Association where he was responsible for developing end-of-semester review sessions for first-year law students. After earning his Juris Doctor, Vernon served as a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Beverly J. Woodard of Prince George’s County Circuit Court. Learning from the senior legal officials before him, Vernon used this opportunity to study and examine various cases and courtroom proceedings and learn the art of arguing motions.

A member of the J. Franklyn Bourne Association, Vernon is licensed to practice law in the State of Maryland and also serves as an adjunct professor at Bowie State University teaching Trial Advocacy and Multiculturalism Issues in the Criminal Justice System.
